Dear Customer,

Now that the Withdrawal Agreement Bill (WAB) has now passed through the House of Lords and the House of Commons, the agreement is now in the final stages and has now been given Royal Assent by the Queen. This means that the UK will be leaving the EU on the 31st January 2020, from this time the UK will enter into the “Transition Period” this means that nothing changes and the current arrangements remain in place until the 31st December 2020. During the transition period the timelines will become clearer and this will be communicated to you accordingly.

We truly understand that many of our customers are concerned as to how Brexit may affect them, Trafertir’s in-house customs team and our European partners are extremely experienced in all aspects of customs and transit procedures and are on hand to assist you with your customs preparations during and after the transition period.

With the latest technology,  our European Road Freight Services, Warehouse and Customs Clearance departments work seamlessly together to ensure that our vehicles are fast-tracked through UK borders directly to our customs warehouse, where our in- house customs clearance department will arrange clearance and delivery thus avoiding potential congestion and backlogs at the ports of arrival.

Trafertir operate an approved ETSF Warehouse Facility (previously known as ERTS). This Warehouse is an area that has been approved by the H M Revenue & Customs that is situated outside an appointed customs area such as a port or airport where bonded goods may be held until they are assigned to for customs clearance and therefore avoid unnecessary costs or delays.
