Trafertir receives ETSF Approval from UK Border Force
Trafertir are extremely proud to announce UK Border Force have approved our Basildon facility as an authorised ETSF Facility. An ETSF – External Temporary Storage Facility (previously known as ERTS) is an inland clearance area that has been approved by Border Force. Customs controlled LCL and FCL containers can be transferred easily from London Gateway or Tilbury Ports that are only 15 minutes away to our temporary storage facility pending unloading and customs clearance to avoid unnecessary quay rent or demurrage charges.
Our Basildon facility is ideally located near to London’s M25 motorway and is well located to receive import trailers from Dover or the Eurotunnel where we can offload and customs clear to avoid potential delays when customs clearing at port. In conjunction with our Customs Clearance team, vehicles are fast-tracked through the UK ports directly to or from our ETSF facility for in house import or export customs clearance and delivery.
